Taxonomy
Acrosterigma was named by Dall (1900) [Sepkoski's age data: T Mi-u-l R Sepkoski's reference number: 1112]. It is extant.

It was assigned to Cardiidae by Lamprell and Whitehead (1992); to Trachycardiinae by Vokes (1980) and Coan et al. (2000); and to Veneroida by Sepkoski (2002).
