Taxonomy
Stacheoceras lijiangense was named by Liang (1983). Its type specimen is NIGP 72338 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Hailuo, Mingyin, Lijiang County, which is in a Wuchiapingian coastal siliciclastic in the Longtan Formation of China.
