Antiquicyprina was named by Casey (1952) [Sepkoski's age data: J Bath]. It is not extant.

It was reranked as Anisocardia (Antiquicyprina) by Sha (1995).

It was assigned to Arcticidae by Vokes (1980); to Anisocardia by Sha (1995); and to Veneroida by Sepkoski (2002).
