Taxonomy
Striochonetes subquadratus was named by Abramov and Grigorieva (1988). Its type specimen is PIN 4065/15 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Nera River, T. 805, Tumara Basin, Western Verkhoyan, which is in an Artinskian marine siliciclastic in the Echii Formation of the Russian Federation.
