Taxonomy
Araxoceras abarquense was named by Zakharov and Mousavi Abnavi (2010). Its type specimen is DVGI 3/850 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Abadeh Section, Unit 6, which is in a Wuchiapingian offshore limestone in the Hambast Formation of Iran.
