Taxonomy
Fusispirifer quinnaniensis was named by Archbold and Thomas (1987). Its type specimen is UWA 27035 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UWA WL1, Coolkilya Pool, Minilya River, which is in an Artinskian marine shale in the Quinnanie Formation of Australia.
