Taxonomy
Lanceoloboceras hunanense was named by Zhou (1979). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Jiangjiachong, bed 4 lower, southern Shaoyang City, which is in a Kungurian coastal mudstone in the Dangchong Formation of China.
It was recombined as Yinoceras hunanense by Zhou et al. (2002).
