Taxonomy
Jakutochonetes tachanensis was named by Klets (1998). Its type specimen is PGO 14019-1/104, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Buyundzha River, T. 14019, Southern Verkhoyan, which is in a Sakmarian marine siliciclastic in the Akachan Formation of the Russian Federation.
