Taxonomy
Bellerophon striatus was named by Fleming (1828). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Bucania striata by de Koninck (1883); it was recombined as Bucaniopsis striatus by Weir (1931); it was recombined as Knightites (Retispira) striata by Gromczakiewicz-Lomnicka (1972).
