Taxonomy
Paromphalus rotundus was named by Wang (1982). Its type specimen is NI-52069, a shell (Internal mold), and it is a mold. Its type locality is Guangde County, Qixia Formation, which is in a Kungurian carbonate limestone in the Qixia Formation of China.
