Taxonomy
Nucula yangtseensis was named by Frech (1911). It is a mold. Its type locality is Ning-kwo-hsien, which is in a Wuchiapingian marine shale in China.
It was recombined as Nuculopsis yangtzeensis by Gu et al. (1976), Zhang (1977) and Li et al. (1982).
