Taxonomy
Pyramus igori was named by Biakov (2005). Its type specimen is SVKNII 9/02-04.80, a valve (Right valve), and it is a mold. Its type locality is Fol'k Creek Sample 8, Munugudzhak River, Omolon Basin, which is in a Sakmarian coastal sandstone in the Munugudzhak Formation of the Russian Federation.
