Heliomeroides teres

Taxonomy
Heliomeroides teres was named by Evitt (1951). Its type specimen is USNM 116294, a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Loc. 7, bridge east of Edinburg, which is in a Blackriveran carbonate limestone in the Edinburg Formation of Virginia. It is the type species of Heliomeroides.
