Palaeozygopleura orlejensis was named by Gromczakiewicz-Lomnicka (1972). Its type specimen is MZ VIII Mg 1037, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was considered a nomen nudum by Gromczakiewicz (1967).

A. Gromczakiewicz-Lomnicka 1972"Small, high spired very slender gastropod. Whorl profile almost flat. Ornamentation consists of very fine collabral costae, densely spaced, slightly sigmoidal and prosocline; they are more distinct on the younger whorls, on the last and penultimate whorl ususally disappear."
