Taxonomy
Almites multisulcatus was named by Bogoslovskaya (1978). Its type specimen is PIN 3740/414 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Shor-Bulak-Say River, sample 147/2, Pamir Mountains, which is in an Asselian marine sandstone in the Bazardarian Formation of Tajikistan.
