Taxonomy
Nautilus brembanus was named by von Mojsisovics (1882). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Dossena, Val Brembana, which is in a Carnian carbonate limestone in the Raibl Formation of Italy.
It was recombined as Paranautilus brembanus by Wang and Chen (1979).
