Taxonomy
Lenotropites debilis was named by Wang and Chen (1979). Its type specimen is NIGP 33995 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Saizong Monastery VIII F53-1-F-1, Xinghai County, which is in an Aegean/Bithynian marine horizon in the Gulangdi Formation of China.
