Taxonomy
Leiophyllites foliodenticulatus was named by Wang and Chen (1979). Its type specimen is NIGP 34061 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Xiang'adong 36F88(1), Jianza County, which is in an Anisian marine horizon in the Xiang'adong Formation of China.
