Taxonomy
Wasatchites macconnelli was named by Tozer (1994). Its type specimen is GSC 28194 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is GSC 42364, Toad River, which is in a Smithian marine siliciclastic in the Toad Formation of Canada.
