Taxonomy
Bandoproductus hastingsensis was named by Briggs (1998). Its type specimen is UQ F75296, a valve (Ventral valve external mold), and it is a mold. Its type locality is UQ L5185, Cross Farm, Hastings, which is in an Asselian marine siliciclastic in the Giro Formation of Australia.
