Taxonomy
Costiferina minor was named by Tong (1978). Its type specimen is Sb 4055 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Lengshuixi, Qixia Fm, Shizhu County, which is in a Kungurian carbonate limestone in the Qixia Formation of China.
