Divalucina was named by Iredale (1936) [Sepkoski's age data: T Eo-m-l R Sepkoski's reference number: 899]. It is extant. Its type is Lucina (Cyclas) cumingi.
It was assigned to Divaricellinae by Cox et al. (1969) and Vokes (1980); to Lucinidae by Lamprell and Whitehead (1992); and to Veneroida by Sepkoski (2002).
