Bathyurellus platypus
Taxonomy
Bathyurellus platypus was named by Fortey (1979) [Paratypes: cranidium, GSC 56848; pygidia, GSC 56849-50, 56891; librigena, GSC 56851, 56892; hypostoma, GSC 56852.]. Its type specimen is GSC 56847, an exoskeleton (cranidium), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Catoche Formation type section, which is in a Cassinian open shallow subtidal limestone/dolomite in the Catoche Formation of Canada.
