Punka flabelliformis

Taxonomy
Punka flabelliformis was named by Fortey (1979) [Paratypes: cranidium, GSC 56860; pygidia, GSC 57757, 56861; librigena, GSC 56862. Includes some specimens previously identified as Bathyurellus marginiatus (Billings 1865, fig. 249 (non fig. 248); Whittington 1953, p. 661; Whittington and Kindle 1969, p. 658.)]. Its type specimen is GSC 56859, a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Catoche Formation type section, which is in a Cassinian open shallow subtidal limestone/dolomite in the Catoche Formation of Canada.

It was recombined as Grinnellaspis flabelliformis by Rohr et al. (2008).
