Peltabellia peltabella
Taxonomy
Jeffersonia peltabella was named by Ross (1951) [Paratypes: YPM 18053-5.]. Its type specimen is YPM 18056, a pygidium, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Locality 5, Hillyard's Canyon, Zone "G(2)e", lower, which is in a Tulean shallow subtidal limestone/conglomerate in the Garden City Formation of Idaho. It is the type species of Peltabellia.
It was recombined as Peltabellia peltabella by Whittington (1953) and Fortey and Bruton (2013).
