Fengjiachongia was named by Wu (1981) [Sepkoski's age data: J Sepkoski's reference number: ZR90]. It is not extant. Its type is Fengjiachongia subtrigona.
It was synonymized subjectively with Hunanella by Fang et al. (2009); it was synonymized subjectively with Kija by Ros-Franch et al. (2014).
It was assigned to Arcticidae by Wu (1981); and to Veneroida by Sepkoski (2002).
