Taxonomy
Ischyrophyma tumida was named by Whittington (1965). Its type specimen is GSC 18465, a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a mold. Its type locality is Table Point, "Middle Table Head", 50 feet, which is in a Chazyan slope limestone in the Table Cove Formation of Canada.
