Taxonomy
Asaphus morrisii was named by Billings (1865) [Lectotype selected by Whittington 1965. ]. Its type specimen is GSC 656 (lectotype), a pygidium, and it is a mold.
It was recombined as Niobe morrisi by Raymond (1925).
