Taxonomy
Pseudodanubites nicholsi was named by Bucher (1988). Its type specimen is USNM 427248, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is North Humboldt Range HB 30, Humboldt Mountains, which is in a Pelsonian marine limestone in the Favret Formation of Nevada.
