Taxonomy
Kingites korni was named by Brühwiler et al. (2010). Its type specimen is PIMUZ 27863, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is MUD31, Mud section, Spiti, which is in a Dienerian offshore lime mudstone/mudstone in the Mirkin Formation of India.
