Taxonomy
Kaibabella ovata was named by Waterhouse (1983). Its type specimen is UQ F63684 and is a mold. Its type locality is UQ L3723, Exmoor Homestead, which is in a Roadian marine sandstone in the Gebbie Formation of Australia.
