Taxonomy
Rechnisaurus cristarhynchus was named by Chowdhury (1970). Its type specimen is ISI R37, a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Rechni, which is in an Anisian terrestrial claystone in the Yerrapalli Formation of India.
