Ceratocephala rarispina

Taxonomy
Ceratocephala rarispina was named by Whittington (1956) [Paratypes: USNM 124698a-d]. Its type specimen is USNM 116527, a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Loc. 8, Greenmount Church area, which is in a Turinian carbonate limestone in the Oranda Formation of Virginia.
