Apianurus glaber
Taxonomy
Apianurus glaber was named by Whittington (1956) [Paratypes: USNM 124704a, b]. Its type specimen is USNM 124703, a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Loc. 2. edge of quarry, just north of RR tracks ΒΌ mile west of Strasburg Junction, which is in an Ashbyan carbonate limestone in the Edinburg Formation of Virginia.
