Remopleurides asperulus

Taxonomy
Remopleurides asperulus was named by Whittington (1959) [Paratypes: USNM 137684a-c]. Its type specimen is USNM 137683, a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Loc. 1a. Tumbling Run, 2 miles southwest of Strasburg, which is in an Ashbyan carbonate limestone in the Botetourt Formation of Virginia.
