Taxonomy
Langvophorus was named by Vu-Khuc (1977) [Sepkoski's age data: Tr Nori Tr Rhae Sepkoski's reference number: 676]. It is not extant. Its type is Tancredia garandi.

It was assigned to Veneroida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Trapeziidae by Vokes (1980) and Ros-Franch et al. (2014).
