Taxonomy
Astartella minuta was named by Zhang (1977). Its type specimen is IV55275, a valve (Right valve), and it is a mold. Its type locality is Houshan, Dafu, Qujiang County (Longtan Fm), which is in a Wuchiapingian marine siliciclastic in the Longtan Formation of China.
