Taxonomy
Leptochondria lichuanensis was named by Zhang (1977). Its type specimen is IV55248, a valve (Left valve), and it is a mold. Its type locality is Qiyueshan, Lichuan County, which is in a Wuchiapingian carbonate limestone in the Wujiaping Formation of China.
