Taxonomy
Promyalina hunanensis was named by Zhang (1977). Its type specimen is IV55257, a valve (Left valve), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Yantoushan, Youxian County, which is in a Kungurian carbonate limestone in the Qixia Formation of China.
