Aeschnopsis perampla

Taxonomy
Aeshna perampla was named by Brodie (1845). Its type specimen is NHM I 12780, a hindwing (basal fragment), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Teffont, Vale of Wardour (Brodie collection), which is in a Berriasian terrestrial horizon in the United Kingdom.

It was recombined as Aeschna perampla by Hagen (1850) and Kirby (1890); it was considered a nomen dubium by Handlirsch (1906); it was recombined as Aeschnopsis perampla by Handlirsch (1939), Cowley (1942), Nel et al. (1998) and Bechly et al. (2001).
