Archaeonycteris storchi
Taxonomy
Archaeonycteris storchi was named by Smith et al. (2007). Its type specimen is GU/RSR/VAS 140, a mandible (right dentary fragment with P4-M2), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Vastan Lignite Mine, which is in a Ypresian lagoonal siltstone/claystone in the Cambay Shale Formation of India.
