Micromeris was named by Conrad (1866) [Sepkoski's age data: T Eo-m-l R Sepkoski's reference number: 914]. It is extant.

It was assigned to Condylocardiinae by Vokes (1980); to Condylocardiidae by Lamprell and Healy (1998); and to Veneroida by Sepkoski (2002).
