Taxonomy
Horiostoma disjunctum was named by Barrois (1889). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Chateau-Briant, just east of Erbray, which is in an Emsian carbonate limestone in the Calcaire d’Erbray Formation of France.

It was recombined as Oriostoma disjunctum by Wagner (2023).
