Taxonomy
Selenoharpes singularis was named by Whittington (1965). Its type specimen is GSC 18402, a cephalon/head, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Table Cove, which is in a Chazyan slope limestone/shale in the Table Cove Formation of Canada.
It was recombined as Scotoharpes singularis by Norford (1973) and Ebach and McNamara (2002).
