Aeschnidium antiquum

Taxonomy
Libellula antiqua was named by Brodie (1845). Its type specimen is BMNH I 3526, a hindwing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Dinton, Vale of Wardour, Middle Purbeck, which is in a Berriasian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal horizon in the Lulworth Formation of the United Kingdom.

It was recombined as Libellulium antiquum by Kirby (1890); it was recombined as Aeschnidium antiquum by Handlirsch (1906) and Nel and Martínez-Delclòs (1993).
