Nevenulora was named by Iredale (1930) [Sepkoski's age data: T Eo-l R]. It is extant.

It was assigned to Lucininae by Cox et al. (1969) and Vokes (1980); to Lucinidae by Lamprell and Whitehead (1992); and to Veneroida by Sepkoski (2002).
