Taxonomy
Metabowmania morgani was named by Adrain and Westrop (2007). Its type specimen is SUI 102747, an exoskeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Section G 48.6, which is in a Stairsian shallow subtidal horizon in the Fillmore Formation of Utah.
