Toernquistia sanchezae

Taxonomy
Paratoernquistia sanchezae was named by Chatterton et al. (1998). Its type specimen is CEGH-UNC 16861, a cephalon/head, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is LAS-T. Br., Las Aguaditas South Section, ~7¼ km west and ~9¼ km south of San José da Jáchal, which is in a Sandbian deep subtidal shelf marl/claystone in the Las Aguaditas Formation of Argentina.

It was recombined as Toernquistia sanchezae by Adrain and Westrop (2007).
