Taxonomy
Parahsuum vizcainoense was named by Whalen and Carter (2002). It is not extant. Its type specimen is USNM 401920. Its type locality is BPW80-30, San Hipolito Fm, Vizcaino Peninsula, Baja California Sur, which is in a Pliensbachian slope sandstone/lime mudstone in the San Hipolito Formation of Mexico.
