Mesogryllacris giganteus
Taxonomy
Mesogryllacris giganteus was named by Riek (1955). Its type specimen is University of Queensland Department of Geology C1920, C1544, C1930, a forewing (almost complete wing in three fragments), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Mount Crosby Insect Bed (UQ collection), which is in a Norian pond shale in Australia.
